Trinity Church in Knebworth

offers you a warm welcome

Service Format

Worship at Trinity is influenced by the two denominations of which we are part – the Methodist and United Reformed Churches. The style of services varies dependent of the preacher, but generally, worship is relaxed and informal.

We like to think that visitors find us welcoming – and they generally seem to. The notes below tell you a little about worship in Trinity Church. Details of forthcoming services are incorporated into the church Calendar.

Sundays at 10.30 am

Morning worship led by our Minister or by a Local Preacher or visiting Minister from the Methodist Circuit or the North Herts Group of Churches (URC) and, occasionally, by members of the Church family. Twice a year we share worship with the Knebworth Family of Churches.

Sunday Club, for Toddlers to Teens, meets during morning service.

If they prefer it, Mums or Dads with babies can take part in worship from the foyer, which is audio-linked to the worship area. When needed, we can provide crèche facilities.

Holy Communion is celebrated normally on the third Sunday morning of the month.

Fellowship continues with tea/coffee after the service.

Sundays at 5.30 p.m.

Evening worship, although much smaller in scale, still reflects our ethos of diversity, both in congregation and style of worship. It is led by our minister or a home based or visiting preacher (some ordained some lay), or sometimes a team of Trinity members.

Most months the second Sunday evening is a service including Holy Communion and the fourth Sunday evening is an informal more interactive style of worship.

During the year several evening services are united with other fellowships within Knebworth or in the wider groupings of our denominations. Some are hosted by Trinity, others are elsewhere. Please check the Calendar for details of these.

Fridays at 9.30 am

Half an hour of sharing, reflection and silent prayer

Christmas and Easter .

Special services are held to mark these festivals and, at the appropriate times of year, details can be found on our Calendar page
