Sunday Club - Social Sunday

Sunday Club

Children are more than welcome to take part in our regular 10.30 Sunday morning worship. After the first few minutes of worship all together, the children usually leave the adults and continue together in their own part of the church as the Sunday Club. This is what you might know as 'Sunday school' or 'junior church', and the children meet in two or three groups arranged by age - from pre-school through to teenage. Our dedicated Sunday Club leadership team guide the children in hearing the stories from the Bible and in working out their meaning for us today, through conversation, play and creative activity. New children are always welcome to join us, and will be made right at home when they arrive.

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. We want the children to have great fun whilst learning more about Jesus and meeting with him. Our Sunday Club leaders are highly experienced, are DBS-checked and have first aid and safeguarding training. Some parents join their children in the Sunday Club, others leave them in the capable hands of the team and continue to share in the 'main' worship service.

For Café @ Trinity (occasional) children and adults share in the whole of the worship and activities together, with options provided suitable for all ages. For the monthly service of Holy Communion, the Sunday Club runs from the time the children arrive, and then they join the rest of the congregation to share the bread and (non-alcoholic) wine during the later part of the service - bringing us all together to share around God's table, young and old alike.

Social Sunday

Next date: Is suspended until further notice.

Social Sunday happens three or four times a year: it's a kind of Sunday Club fun day - ably run by our Sunday Club team (see above), but more like a party, with games, face-painting, food and lots and lots of fun! Social Sunday is so called because children bring lots of their friends with them, and we welcome many children who may not normally come on a Sunday, but love to join in the Social Sunday fun. The timings are the same as regular Sunday Club, taking place during our 10.30 Sunday morning worship; and again some parents join their children, while others take the opportunity to experience the main worship, leaving their children in the safe hands of the Sunday Club team. You or your children are more than welcome to join us for the next Social Sunday - the more the merrier!
